Home to the Bordeaux Grand Cru Classes en 1855, Médoc is one of the most famous wines producing regions in the world. Its wines are crafted by time-honored expertise, with an aim to create absolute quality but also carry unique terroir characteristics of the appellations.

Journey through this iconic wine region with our Bordeaux wine expert Wendy Narby, this Masterclass will explore its geography, geology, history and the eight different appellations while tasting a range of Médoc finest wines.

Including a wide variety of Médoc wines, join us and compare the different characters between Grand Cru Classées, Cru Bourgeois and smaller chateaux from different appellations.

Wendy, British-born and Bordeaux-based wine expert and writer, is a senior lecturer at the Bordeaux Wine School. She has been teaching both in Bordeaux and overseas to the trade, press and enthusiasts for many years. Her aim is to open the doors of the world’s most famous vineyards and share the talents of lesser-known winemakers, explaining and making the wonderful world of Bordeaux wine more accessible.

Formed in 1969, the Conseil des Vins du Médoc is the official body which represents all of the wine-producers in Médoc, from the 8 appellations and from the different families of wines (Cru Bourgeois, Grand Crus Classés en 1885, Crus Artisans, brand wines and wines from cooperatives and other independent wines).
